0009 Invalid Carrier Code - SCAC Deactivated

On December 13th the NMFTA, governing body for SCAC Codes, deactivated 40,000 SCAC codes with CBP for missing the 2023 SCAC renewal window.

If you are filing AMS and receive a "0009 Invalid Carrier Code" rejection, your SCAC has been deactivated and AMS filings will be rejected by CBP until your SCAC is renewed with the NMFTA. 

To reactivate your SCAC please go to the NMFTA Site and select Renew/CheckStatus.

Trade Tech can also renew the SCAC on your behalf. Please reach out to our support team at support@tradetechhelp.zendesk.com to confirm you would like Trade Tech to process your SCAC Renewal for a $150 processing charge.

Once you SCAC renewal is complete, please provide the updated SCAC Certificate to Trade Tech support so we may forward to CBP on your behalf so you may continue to file AMS.
